Samuel Colman

Samuel Colman (1780-1845) was an English painter of the "Bristol School". He painted in a dramatic and unusual style. The only other painter I'm aware with a similar style is John Martin.

Delivery of Israel out of Egypt

 St. James Fair, Bristol (1824)

The Death of Amelia (ca. 1804)

The Destruction of Pharaoh's Host (ca. 1830)

The Destruction of the Temple (ca. 1830-40)

The Temple of Flora
